Symbol: This image symbolizes the story (The Possibility Of Evil) in many ways, this type of rose is used quit a bit in the book. The red rose is Misss Strangeworth's family pass down.

Response:

1) What is Miss Strengeworth trying to accomplish by sending out her letters? I think she was trying to accomplish people to stop doing what they are doing or tell someone about something they should know.

2) What do you think this story is saying about crime and criminals? I think this story is saying that beware of the things you do because people could get the wrong idea. Sending rude letters is the same as making a crime, and ruining something on someone's property is a crime too.

3) Why don't people ignore the letters they receive? If you received one of Miss Strangeworths letters what would you do? The reason people ignore her letters is because Miss Strangeworth doesn't put her name or address on the letter. If I had received one of Miss Strangeworths letters i would try to find out who had sent the letter and send one back.

4) How would you describe the story's atmosphere at the beginning? The storys atmosphere at the beginning is really happy and you would think that it is a perfect town and then it gets to the middle of the story and the end of it and it gets to parts where the story got more and more intense.
